Bragging Rights: Ride GateKeeper First!

© Cedar Point
If you're looking to get in on one of GateKeeper's first runs on its opening day, (May 11th) you may want to pony up a little cash and ride for a good cause.

While announced earlier this month, I figured covering the Point's first rider Auction for GateKeeper late was better than never.  The park has set aside the first two trains to go out to two charities, both of which are holding their own auctions.  The first is the United Way of Erie County, click here for their board.  The second is the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital who has a page available at this link.

The top 32 bidders in each auction will get to arrive at the park early, receive free admission, breakfast and souvenirs.  Plus the bragging rights of being one of the first riders on GateKeeper.  Most importantly, all funds go directly to some amazing and worthy causes.

Cedar Point will also hold activities this summer to benefit the Children's Hospital.  During the month of July the park will donate ten cents for each rider on the park's three carousels.  Make sure to take a spin if you're there!  A car raffle will also be held with the car on display at the park.
