Big smiles from the Sally Corp booth, they hardly needed any lighting due to all the shiny grins. The Justice League-Battle for Metropolis, now appearing at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St Louis, is currently thrilling millions of guests. Sally is spreading the wealth south of the border at Six Flags Mexico City and also at Six Flags Great America.

Scott And Carol Present - More Big News Out Of Quassy Amusement Park

Quassy Amusement Park and SBF Visa are proud to announce the inaugural North American installation of Reverse Time, a family flat ride.

So congratulations to Quassy Amusement Park, and everybody in the northeast who gets to take a whirl on Reverse Time, a surprise addition to the park that has previously announced their water park improvements. Scott And Carol Present - Great Things from PTC

As the makers of the most popular style of train for wooden roller coasters worldwide, Philadelphia Toboggan Company has stepped up and created a new system to make it easier for people with physical challenges to ride wooden roller coasters, at least ones with PTC trains.

The access device is shown in position next to the train in the station. The platform rotates down and rests on top of teh seat divider. Although it is presently designed only for PTC trains, with some modification it can also be used for other rides. It is stored in the station for use when required.

Here's a short video showing how the device is used.

Drew, and anyone else utilizing the five-point harness is securely held in riding position, and this unique device allows for missing limbs to not be a disqualifying issue for riders.

Here you can see where the locking carabiners hook to the train, and they are easily adjusted for a snug fit. Only one seat needs to be modified per train.This will be our nomination for the Industry Impact Award, because this is an issue facing park operators everywhere. Big kudos for everyone on the PTC team. Their efforts will make lots challenged coaster lovers very happy.

Scott And Carol Present - What's New At S&S - Sansei Technologies

S & S Worldwide, along with Playland Castaway Cove, were eager to share their plans to change the skyline of Ocean City, New Jersey.

This is when everyone started to ooh and ah at the new ride vehicle.

This car/train, represents a combination of the best points of S & S's developed technology to date, with improved seating, better restraints, and now a launch system. With launches, the lines move quicker because most of the ride time is actually spent climbing the lift hill on traditional coaster.

Here is the track layout, and you need to remember there are three launches on the ride.

This is a close up of the double stator LSM motor that launches the car, forwards into a rollback, backwards up the hill, and finally forwards again to traverse the course. 

Scott And Carol Present - A Look At Busch Gardens Tampa's Cobra's Curse

Busch Gardens Tampa will offer a new species of snake to guests in 2016, with special DNA provided by Mack Rides, celebrating 130 years in the amusement business.

At the Mack booth at IAAPA, with an impossible to deal with crowd, they finally unveiled the model of what the completed new attraction will look like.

Brian Morrow and the design team have created a great looking attraction, featuring the vertical lift, and the reverse banked turn that lets guests get "up close and personal" with the snake king Venymyss, who probably has an attitude about tourists defiling his temple.

Train riders get a great view of the construction progress, and when finished, they will have a close call with the spinning cars.

Spring comes a little earlier in Florida so hopefully Venymyss will come out of hibernation and we can all experience Cobra's Curse.

"They are dedicated to creating unique experiences for our industry's guests, and the products and events they've directed have delighted people around the world for decades. Their passion for our business is unmistakable and they deserve this prestigious recognition for their contributions."

Fred Hollingsworth III, founder and former president of Omni Films International Inc., built the foundation for the development of many of today's film-based attractions. Hollingsworth is the visionary and manufacturer behind Cinema 180 and Motion Master, two hugely popular high-capacity, large-format, 70-mm point-of-view, film-based attractions for fairs, family entertainment centers, theme parks, and amusement parks. The attractions were affordable and received rave reviews from park guests. Prior to developing the film-based attractions, Hollingsworth was first known in the carnival business as a successful ride operator and manufacturer of portable carnival attractions, including dark rides, flying bobs, and glass houses. Hollingsworth first introduced his innovative theaters to the attractions industry in 1974 and at one point more than 200 installations were entertaining guests around the world.

Jack Lindquist began his attractions industry journey in 1955 as Disneyland's first advertising manager (and, eventually, its first president), tasked with developing promotions and special events as well as writing the occasional remarks for Walt Disney. Some of his most creative advertising innovations, partnerships, and promotions include corporate sponsorships, hard-ticket special events for corporate groups and conventions, parties in the park exclusively for graduates, and utilizing department stores as ticket outlets for special events. Lindquist is perhaps most famous for creating Disney Dollars, giving away cars to Disneyland guests, and creating the "I'm going to Disneyland!" Super Bowl commercial. Many of the promotions he created continue to influence those in use by marketing teams at theme and amusement parks around the world. 

For more than 40 years, Tom Williams has positively influenced guest experiences at Universal Parks & Resorts destinations in the United States and Asia, through the development of first-ever attraction experiences and immersive storytelling. Williams was on the opening team for Universal Orlando in Florida, which began thrilling guests in 1990. Williams was named park president soon after the gates opened. He was later named chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts and has led the highly creative teams that developed theme park and resort destinations in Hollywood, Orlando, Singapore, and Japan, including the openings of Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Singapore, and Islands of Adventure and CityWalk in Orlando, Florida. In recent years, he led the charge to bring the magic of worldwide sensation Harry Potter to Universal theme parks, opening The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Hogsmeade in 2010 at Islands of Adventure and creating an entirely new level of immersive theme park experience. He then led the Universal to develop The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Diagon Alley in 2014, expanding the Harry Potter-themed rides, restaurants, and shops to Universal Studios Florida. Another Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in 2014 at Universal Studios Japan, while another is set to open in 2016 at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Williams' leadership and commitment to innovation have inspired his teams and an entire industry to develop amazing attractions and experiences for park-goers.

The IAAPA Hall of Fame was established in 1990 to honor legends and pioneers for their significant and lasting contributions to the growth and development of the attractions industry. In the past 25 years, dozens of industry pioneers from around the world have been inducted to the Hall of Fame including P. T. Barnum (founder of the American Museum); Walt Disney (The Walt Disney Company); Milton Hershey (Hersheypark); Dick Knoebel (Knoebels Amusement Resort); Bo Kinntorph (Liseberg); Will Koch (Holiday World & Splashin' Safari); Franz Mack (Mack Rides/Europa-Park); Bob Rogers (BRC Imagination Arts); Jay Stein (Universal Studios Florida); Geoffrey Thompson (Blackpool Pleasure Beach); and Antonio Zamperla (Zamperla).

Scott & Carol Present - Zamperla Begins Celebrating 50 Years Of Creating And Building Quality Rides

The Zamperla Company is beginning their celebration of 50 years of making children and their parents smile. Long a supplier of rides for children, they now have a roller coaster division, and many of their rides have advanced in both thrills and safety.

Many members of the "Team Zamperla" spoke about their individual areas of expertise at the press conference in the Zamperla booth.

Zip Zap Racers is designed for those too small to drive regular vehicles, but now they can control their own steering within the safety limits of the ride platform

Zamperla has the ability to them their rides to customer specifications, allowing for easy integration into existing themed areas.

Guests can control their altitude on the Windstarz, up to 20 feet high, and ride air currents just like a real pilot in a hang glider.
