Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast Now Open at Two Six Flags Parks

Both Six Flags St. Louis and Six Flags Over Texas have opened their versions of Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, which is an updated take on the preexisting Mr. Freeze coasters.  The shuttle launch rides have had their trains turned around, which means that the first launch is now taken backwards, with riders flying out of the launch tunnel not seeing what is ahead of them.

Likewise riders are now faced with a backwards climb up the ride's 222 foot tall tower, which in turn means a face forward vertical plummet.  Early reviews of the coasters are noting that event though the train traveled both directions before, turning it around has made positive improvements.

Both coasters also received new decorations on the trains and launch tunnels, along with new signs and a general sprucing up.

The Six Flags Over Texas version just had its grand reopening, which featured an appearance by mister cool himself, Vanilla Ice.  Six Flags St. Louis opened their ride on May 5th, joined by World Series MVP David Freese, from the Cardinals.
