Impressive New Look at Lagoon's Cannibal Roller Coaster

© Lagoon
I swear, with each new piece of track added Lagoon's Cannibal looks more and more interesting, with oddly shaped and unique inversions and other elements now in place.  The park has shared some recent shots, and while we've seen this first inversion before these are worth looking at again.  This half-loop turns itself upright, similar to elements we've seen on coasters before... yet different.

This more side angle view really shows how the element is a very large vertical loop with the twist at the end.  If you were to draw a line vertically through the middle of the element, you'd have a very clear half loop - even more pronounced than on similar elements on other coasters.

After the way beyond vertical first drop and huge half-loop twist inversion, the track heads toward the ground and then up into this dive loop.  There's something about this element that is also unlike most other rides, with the track moving upward and then inverting, like a heartline roll, but then diving downward with only a slight jog to the left.

How's this for a beauty shot?  You can see the element that follows the dive loop, a big inverting top hat that turns the trains around 180 degrees.  Also notice the elaborate theming that has been constructed on top of the tunnel that follows the first drop.  This is really looking like one of the most interesting projects of 2015, and I can't wait to see what else Lagoon has in store for the ride.  They say there's one more secret aspect to Cannibal that they won't reveal until it opens...
