Help Conneaut Lake Park... and Get on TV!

Conneaut Lake Park is holding a revitalization event starting on Monday July 29th, lasting through Saturday August 3rd.  You might wonder why this one is special since they do this just about every season, but this year the park is involved with a production company, Lusid Media, who will be filming the work for a new Travel Channel show about amusement parks.

Per the park's communication, "we believe this project will start a new chapter in the park's story by adding a few new elements while preserving the integrity of this beloved site."

Conneaut Lake Park is looking for volunteers for the revitalization week, and they are open to folks donating as much time as they want - even if a short period.  The park needs as many folks as possible to come out and help with items such as landscaping, painting, light construction, and more.  Material donations (lumber, paint, fabric, etc) are also welcome.

At the end of the event there will be a big bash, thrown by the park, which will also be filmed for the show.  The park has continued to have troubled times, but has maintained the operation of the Blue Streak, a classic wooden roller coaster.

And speaking of that, the Blue Streak will have a birthday bash (75th!) on July 20th from 1:00 to 9:00.  Guests can ride all rides for just $5 at the event!
