NewsPlusNotes December 2015 Poll Results + Most Anticipated 2016 Coaster

With the 2015 Holiday season now behind us, let's look back at the results of our December, 2015 poll. We asked our readers to pick out their top holiday theme park events. With more of these opening each year, there was quite a list to choose from.

When the voting was complete, Holiday In The Park at Six Flags properties came in the top spot with almost 19% of all the votes. The event has grown to 7 different Six Flags parks around the country, which feature million of lights, special holiday attractions and many of the parks' most popular rides. This year Six Flags Great Adventure started the event, and the tales of the crowds that came to check it out show the celebration's continued popularity.

The Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration came in 2nd place with around 12% of all the votes. An extremely popular family tradition for many, Dollywood's charm shines brighter than ever during the holiday season.

Several events came within a few votes of one another for 3rd place: Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane, Knott's Merry Farm, and Christmas Town at the two Busch Gardens parks. Surprisingly, it seems the events at parks outside of the big themers in Florida and California were more popular. Here's the full results (click for larger view):

Our January, 2016 Poll is now live - this is the month when we ask our readers which of the New For 2016 U.S. major roller coasters they are the most excited for! Give it some thought and then be sure to vote over on the left!
