Weekly Rewind 3.19.11





Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has started vertical construction on their Sky Screamer, too.  The base for the attraction was set in place this past week.

Universal Orlando will replace Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast with an undisclosed attraction in the coming years.  The ride will permanently close this August.

Canada's Wonderland has their first piece of WindSeeker in place, with Kings Island achieving the same a day or so later.


Superman: Escape From Krypton will open at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday March 19th.  The ride has been having preview days recently, but this is the opening for the general public.

Holiday World posted on TPR that the Voyage will run only PTC trains in 2011.  The Timberliners will be upgraded and hopefully debut on the ride the year after.

Beach Party!  Looks more like a concrete party right about now.  Michigan's Adventure poured a ton of concrete for the new water attraction this week.

Westchester County has received 11 proposals pertaining to the future of Playland Park.  A 19 member committee of citizens will now mull over the proposals.
