CNL Lifestyle Properties Acquires Rapids Water Park

CNL Lifestyle Properties, the current owner of various theme parks and attractions such as Darien Lake, Elitch Gardens, Frontier City, Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, and several water parks, has announced their purchase of south Florida's Rapids Water Park.

The 30 acre water park "contains one of the largest and most diverse collections of water attractions in the United States including: 35 water slides and thrill rides, a 25,000-square-foot wave pool, multiple kids play areas and a lazy river," according to the company's press release.

Premier Attractions Management (PAM), led by former Six Flags CEO Kieran Burke will manage Rapids Water Park for CNL.   PAM already owns or operates six properties, three of which are also owned by CNL.  It gets a bit confusing, but the point is that it looks like Burke's company is continuing to reach its hands further into the industry once more.

Wouldn't it be wild if in 10 years I'm writing about how Premier Attractions Management is running a bunch of big parks again?
