Fans have been asking for the return of bumper cars to Dorney Park, and they have listened! In 2017 the amusement park classic will make its triumphant return with the opening of Dodgem. The bumper cars will be located in the area formerly occupied by Hang Time, just outside the entrance to Talon. Dodgem will feature 20 cars and be a part of the Fast Lane program.

The park's second ride addition will be Kaleidoscope, a classic spinning flat ride made by Huss that will be located on the park's Main Midway, by the Coasters restaurant. The ride has three giant arms, each with seven rider gondolas attached to it. The entire ride will rotate counterclockwise as the arms raise and spin on their own. Kaleidoscope will offer riders moments of "weightlessness, strong accelerations and side-to-side moments." These two new rides are sure to add a lot of excitement and energy to the park's Main Midway!

Dorney Park's Good Time Theatre will see the retirement of All Wheel Sports this summer, to be replaced with Cirque Imagine. This 30 minute spectacular presentation of "breathtaking stunts and aerial performances" has been a resounding hit at other Cedar Fair parks, and Dorney Park is excited to offer it to visitors as part of their general admission ticket. The show will feature "high-flying acrobatics, feats of strength, raw athleticism, beauty, grace and sidesplitting humor" combined in a colorful environment. Acts will include trampolines, cyr wheel, aerialists, hand balancing and bikes.

Dorney Park will also offer a major upgrade to its catering facilities in 2017 when it opens Parkside Pavilion. The facility will be located behind White Water Landing in a previously backstage area, accessible through an existing path along Hydra's layout. Parkside Pavilion will comfortable seat 2,000 guests at a time, and will be focused on serving group bookings during their visit to the park.

Parkside Pavilion's facilities will be distinctly upgraded when compared to typical group outing locations as amusement parks. This concept art shows what the inside of the facility will look like. There will be a full chef's kitchen, dropped ceilings with fans, convenient self-serving food and beverage locations and digital signage throughout.

Wildwater Kingdom will not be left out of the fun in 2017 as additional amenities will be offered to further improve the guest experience to the water park. 17 new cabanas will be added to the park with waitered food and beverage service and other comfort amenities. The new Sunset Beach Bar will also open, offering outdoor seating with both food menus and a full service bar.
