Halloween Horror Nights Orlando to Feature New Virtual Reality Haunt Experience

Continuing what has become a hot trend in the amusement industry, Universal Orlando has announced an all-new virtual reality experience to be a part of Halloween Horror Nights 26.  Named The Repository, the "cutting-edge, terrifying" haunt will "seamlessly blend custom virtual reality technology with immersive real-life storytelling bringing guests into the next dimension of horror experiences."

Teams of four will enter the maze, which is an old warehouse, and use special goggles that will transport them into paranormal realms.  They will work together to face both physical and virtual creatures that want to keep them on the dark side forever.  Themed physical sets will combine with the virtual reality worlds to solidify the terror.

The experience will be the result of many years of research during Halloween Horror Nights to see what scares people the most, so it's sure to be a wild experience.  Due to the limited capacity of The Repository, it will be an extra-charge house, selling for $49.99 a ticket.

The announcement of The Repository comes just after the event's three original-theme mazes were revealed to be Tomb of the Ancients, Ghost Town, and Lunatics Playground 3D.  They will join previously announced franchise haunts including Krampus, Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield, The Walking Dead, The Exorcist, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
