Legoland California's Expansion Continues

After many seasons of successfully creating exciting memories for visiting guests, Legoland California is now gearing up to be a true multi-day vacation destination.  The park is ready to open North America's first LEGO branded hotel on April 5th.

The new hotel is located right near the park's front gate, and was built in a former parking lot.  It feature plenty of amenities that cater to families, including an interactive castle play area, the Bricks Family Restaurant, and plenty of adventurously themed rooms.

With the addition of the hotel Legoland California now has a theme park, water park, aquarium, and overnight accommodations, with more to see and do that can fit into just one day.  To celebrate the hotel's opening, the park is seeking a Junior Concierge - six 8 to 12 year old winners will be treated to a free weekend at the resort as a part of the contest.

Even though last season saw the expansion of the Star Wars section of Miniland, along with the new Pirate Reef water ride, the park isn't stopping for 2013.  Also announced today is a brand new 4-D film, themed around the Legends of Chima brand.  The "12 minute animated 4-D film, complete with high-impact special effects, is designed to immerse audiences in the fantastical LEGO world of Chima where tribes of animal warriors compete in epic battles for "CHI" - a mystical energy source of limitless power and destruction."

While not announced for all the parks yet, the new Legends of Chima show will open at Legoland Parks and Discovery Centers across the globe this year.
