Celebrate A Very Furry Christmas with Sesame Place

Sesame Place, located outside of Philadelphia, PA, has announced that 2011 will mark the park's first A Very Furry Christmas celebration at the park.  The winter event, a first for the park, will begin November 25th and run through December 31st.

Obviously the park's water attractions will not be open, but there will still be plenty to do.  Three all new holiday themed shows along with a Christmas Parade will delight little guests and their families.  The 1-2-3 Christmas Tree will feature a giant tree decorated with lights that dance to holiday music, and Elmo will be the star of his Elmo's World Live Christmas Show.

The park's rides will be open, including the new Elmo's Cloud Chaser and other Elmo's World attractions, and the park's coaster, Vapor Trail, will operate so long as weather allows.  Naturally guests can greet Santa at his own Workshop, and be entertained by an interactive snowman just outside.

Plenty of holiday food, millions of lights, 300 Christmas Trees, and a hearty dose of holiday spirit will round out the festivities.  Admission to the event will be $19.99, quite reasonable for all of the activities offered.

The park, owned by Sea World Parks & Entertainment, has been planning this event for several years.  They've had the luck of being able to study Busch Gardens Williamsburg's popular Christmas Town event, which has grown significantly in the past few years.  Check out more event details directly from Sesame Place.
