Blue Streak Fundraiser Details

**NOTICE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.**
Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is with great regret that Conneaut Lake Park has been forced to cancel this event. They hope to reschedule it for a later date, but there are no definite plans at this point. We'll keep you posted if that changes.

Ken and Tim are just too gosh darned efficient for their own good. They've managed to finalize the details for next Saturday's Blue Streak fundraiser event even earlier than anticipated, and here they are!

WHAT: A special event sponsored by Conneaut Lake Park and Lisko Entertainment LLC to raise the funds required to repair, refurbish, and completely restore Conneaut Lake Park's historic 1938 Blue Streak wooden roller coaster.

WHERE: Conneaut Lake Park (Conneaut Lake, PA)

WHEN: Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 1-7 p.m.

COST: $11 per person, with all proceeds going toward the restoration of the Blue Streak

REGISTRATION: There will be no official registration for this event. Simply check in at the front gate area when you arrive.

RESTRICTIONS: None! While this event is expected to draw a largely "enthusiast" crowd, membership in an enthusiast organization is not required to attend. Everyone is welcome, so don't forget to tell your friends and family members too!

DETAILS: Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and a Blue Streak walk-back tour. Due to the informality of this fundraiser, the exact time for the walk-back tour will not be announced until the day of the event. Depending on various factors, additional planned activities may take place and these will also be announced the day of the event. And finally, all attendees will be treated to unlimited rides on Conneaut Lake Park's Little Dipper kiddie coaster, a privilege normally reserved for actual "kiddies"!

If you have additional questions or if you would like to help with this event in any way, contact me and I will put you in touch with Ken. As far as "enthusiast events" go, this one supports a most noble cause and we encourage all of you to attend if you can. Let's get this Ed Vettel classic back in operation so that the next enthusiast event at Conneaut Lake involves ERT! We can do it if we work together. If you need additional inspiration, check out our trip report from our visit to Conneaut Lake Park last month!
