August 2009 Poll Results

Our poll for the month of August had a great competition going for crowning our readers' favorite large CCI American wooden coaster. Coming out on top with a total of 28% of the votes was Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce Amusement Park.

The 4,725 ft. long ride takes passengers on a wild ride among the boulders and wooden hills of the classic park. A fan favorite since it's debut in 2000, the ride thrills with a 115 ft. drop off the side of a large wooded hill.

Amazingly, and I think this is the first time in a NPN Poll that this has happened, we have a three way tie for 2nd place!

All with a perfectly equal 16% of the vote are Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm, The Legend at Holiday World, and Shivering Timbers at Michigan's Adventure. All worthy of holding the spot in my opinion!

Rounding out our poll we have The Boss at Six Flags St. Louis with 10% of the vote in 5th place, and The Villain (RIP) at the former Geauga Lake amusement park with 9%. Last and technically least in this poll, we have the Mega Zeph at the still shuttered Six Flags New Orleans theme park.

Look for a new poll soon!
