Six Flags Magic Mountain Puts the Twisted into Twisted Colossus

© Rocky Mountain Construction
Things are getting serious twisted at the Six Flags Magic Mountain construction site for Twisted Colossus.  Crews have made steady progress on both reducing the former ride's structure and installing the new steel track, revealing the wild elements as they go along.

Recently the crews completed the "high five" element, where both tracks bank inward toward each other, making it seem as if riders of both trains could give each other a high five.  That element can be seen in the above photo, released by the ride's manufacturer, Rocky Mountain Construction.  Even more recently the hill after that element was finished, which gave us a look at a wicked double-down hill on the green track side.

Check out all the photos of the recent work from Rocky Mountain and The Coaster Guy.
