Elitch Gardens Being Invaded by SlideZilla in 2015!

An all new waterslide experience with a monstrous name will be built at Denver's Elitch Gardens this year, the amusement and water park has announced.

SlideZilla will be Colorado's first hybrid slide, combing two of Proslide's most popular elements into one giant attraction.  Standing 57 feet tall, nearly six stories, SlideZilla will start by sending rafts through a swirling BehemothBowl, followed immediately by a hair-raising TornadoWave wall climb.

The giant attraction will feature blue, green and purple sections, with slide sections taking place before and after the two combined elements.  The bowl section alone will measure 24 feet in width, a sign of just how large SlideZilla will be when completed.  Riders will navigate the attraction's twists and turns in four person clover-shaped tubes.  Riders only need to be 48 inches tall to take a ride on SlideZilla.

“SlideZilla will spin you around, swallow you up, and spit you out,” says Elitch Gardens Marketing Director Tracy Durham. “It truly is a Hydro-Beast and we can’t wait for guests to try and tame the creature!”

SlideZilla is a part of Elitch Gardens' 125th Anniversary celebration, which will also include two new live shows, an expanded live concert series and additional Dive-In Movies at the water park.  Elitch Gardens will open for the 2015 season on May 2nd.
