Cedar Point 2015 Project Updates

The 2014 season has not yet ended, but that isn't stopping Cedar Point from making considerable progress on their 2015 projects.  The park has shared some impressive new photos of the renovation of Hotel Breakers in their OnPoint Blog.

One of the photos is featured above, which shows off the one of the hotel's sections stripped down to the studs.  They're totally renovating the hotel floors adjacent to the famous rotunda, in one shot you can even see the sand underneath where the floor used to be!

Tony also mentions that the Hotel Breakers renovation is actually the "biggest investment in the park's history."  Considering some projects like GateKeeper came in around $30 million, that's a pretty big deal!

The park has also continued work on transforming Mantis into the floorless coaster, Rougarou.  The park shared the above photo, which was taken by one of the park's maintenance workers from high in the sky.

As you can see, the paint job for Rougarou is nearly complete, with almost all track now a vibrant orange and many supports a deep green color.  The new colors really make the attraction stand out among the park's many trees!  It sounds like Cedar Point has more plans for the overall Mantis transformation, and will be releasing them throughout the winter.
