After a quiet period of testing with park guests, Busch Gardens Tampa has officially declared Falcon's Fury open for good!

“We know guests from around the world have been waiting to experience this one-of-a-kind thrill ride, and we are excited to officially invite those guests to ride Falcon’s Fury,” said Park President Jim Dean.

Falcon's Fury, the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America, is a part of Pantopia, a vivid new themed section at the park that opened earlier this year.

The ride is the first of its kind to actually tilt riders so that they face downward for the majority of the plunge.  The tower stands an impressive 335 feet tall and the cars hit maximum speeds of 60 miles per hour as they fall.

Busch Gardens Tampa is currently encouraging riders to share their post-ride expression on social media using the #falconface tag.  For more about the new Falcon's Fury thrill ride and Busch Gardens Tampa, check out the park's official website.
