With its grand opening just a couple weeks away, Legoland Florida opened its gates this past weekend to friends and family of all the workers that have transformed the park from Cypress Gardens. While not totally 100% complete, the park is looking good and almost all of the rides were open. The park's owners have done a tremendous job of making new rides and attractions look as if they've been at the park forever, nicely filling in the dead space that Cypress Gardens had.
Florida Bricks was able to visit the park and has posted a fully gallery of photos taken on property. It is nice to see that the gardens area is still called Cypress Gardens, in honor of the original park. Word is also coming that the park plans to try to have the water park area open as soon as this coming Summer.
