September 2011 was quite a month for park announcements, so many that it led me to wonder which chain was best using their capital dollar for the 2012 season. The answer was clear:
Six Flags, with a huge announcement of several unique attractions at once, dominated this poll with over 70% of the vote. Their mix of moving rides, while introducing brand new thrills at some parks, seems to have won everyone over.
Cedar Fair, which seems to be using their tried and true formula of a few coasters mixed with other already proven rides - like the ever growing collection of WindSeekers. This resulted in them ending with just under 23% of the vote.
Sea World Parks and Entertainment finished last, with only 7%. Granted, Verbolten was announced after the poll started, so one must wonder if that could have changed anything.
