Cedar Fair announced their 2010 attendance results this week, which were up 7.8% over last year. That totals 1.7 million more guests than 2009. The Southern Parks, which are Carowinds and Kings Dominion, were up 700,000 visits alone on their pair of new coasters.
Dorney Park has added a small gallery of shots showing off some major demolition in the park's Camp Snoopy area, getting it ready to become Planet Snoopy. Check those out here.
Legendary Knott's ride designer Bud Hurlbut passed away this past week, here is a look back at his life. He designed the Calico Mine Ride and Timber Mountain Log Ride at the park, still two of its most popular attractions.
After a couple weeks without much noticeable change, Cheetah Hunt has begun to have new track pieces added again. As usual, RCPro has almost continual updates for us all.
The California letters have been officially retired from in front of Disney California Adventure. Shortly after work walls went up the letters were removed, marking the next phase of Buena Vista street' construction.
The Ride Entertainment Group has renewed its licensing agreement with the CBS Group. Ride Entertainment is able to turn CBS' popular brands, from Survivor to CSI, into theme park attractions. Read the complete release here.
Kings Island filled our week with WindSeeker updates, but in a good way. The park has poured the foundation for the ride, and is hard at work on the Coney Mall section. Read their blog post here, and video update here.
Screamscape blew the lid off plans for what looks like a Manta themed launched coaster that supposed to be built at SeaWorld San Diego. The site reports that the ride will be built by Mack. Looks like fun! I hope it comes into reality.
Ride Entertainment Group wasn't done sharing after the SkyScreamer photos - they also posted a group of photos of the track for Dare Devil Dive (Six Flags Over Georgia) being fabricated.
