Cedar Point spent the entire day Friday pouring the massive foundation for WindSeeker, seen above on one of the two webcams the park has up for the ride. The foundation is so massive that the concrete pour lasted the entire work day and required truck after truck to deliver cement to the site.
The foundation is 60 x 60 feet, and six feet deep, and it alone will weight 3.3 million pounds, according to this article. WindSeeker will spin riders on a 301 ft. tall tower, and will be situated along Cedar Point beach in the former location of Ocean Motion.
One of four WindSeeker rides Cedar Fair is building for 2011, the attraction will cost an estimated $5 million.
