Summer Park Yard Sale

Summer is a great time for yard sales, and it appears as though two big parks are doing just that. Cedar Point has now listed their Pirate Ship - called Ocean Motion - for sale on ITAL. The description and photos on the site make it pretty impossible to argue that it isn't Cedar Point's.

Plus, there's tons of markings in the area around Ocean Motion, and next year's thrill ride is said to be going in that area.

Six Flags Great Adventure has also decided to list the Great America Scream Machine's trains for sale. At least that's what I'm assuming from the "Circa 1989" and the photo above. Interesting that they are only listing two trains, not the three the ride had. I'm going to assume they're keeping one for parts for the chain's other Arrow rides.

That's odd... Cedar Point just replaced the old, worn-out boat with a new one two years ago. I can't imagine why they wouldn't move it inside the park (Blue Streak Midway, anyone?).

I agree that it's weird to have spent money on constantly refurbing it only to sell it. They had to have had some idea of their future plans for that area... that's what is weird to me.

Perhaps if no good offers come in they'll move it anyway.

It looks as though Ocean Motion isn't the only ride on the auction block.

Chaos is listed also:

2011's new ride is starting to look like it's going to take up a fair amount of space.
