Fall Clean-up Weekend at Conneaut Lake Park

Conneaut Lake Park will be holding its 2009 fall clean-up event the weekend of October 24-25. These events are a great opportunity to band together as both a local and an enthusiast community and take a hands-on role in preserving one of our country's most historic parks. As a charitable public trust, Conneaut Lake Park relies heavily on such volunteer events to remain viable in this challenging 21st century climate.

The clean-up event will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days, and lunch will be provided. Volunteers are asked to meet on the veranda of the Hotel Conneaut and to bring any gardening tools or lawn equipment that might be of use. (This includes items such as rakes, shovels, leaf blowers, lawn mowers, trash bags, etc. Please be sure to put your name on all items.) The Hotel Conneaut is offering a reduced nightly rate of $25 to all volunteers while rooms are available; simply call the hotel and state that you are a volunteer.

If you plan to attend, please contact Laura (the event coordinator) so that she can plan accordingly for the lunches. For additional information, visit the park's web site.
