NewsPlusNotes May 2015 Poll Results

In May we asked our readers which large new for 2015 European roller coaster was their favorite of the crop.  The results were a bit of a landslide, with Efteling's Baron 1898 coming in first place with 45% of the total votes.

The highly themed coaster was manufactured by B&M and features a vertical plunge down into a ghost-filled tunnel.  After that there are two inversions and a great upward helix to finish the experience.

Second place went to the giant Gerstlauer designed vertical lift coaster, Karnan at Hansa Park - it received 13% of the votes.  Third place (11%) went to Oblivion The Black Hole at Gardaland, another B&M dive coaster with two inversions... though much less theming than Baron 1898.  Here are the full results:

I am a bit surprised that Junker at PowerLand did not receive a few more votes, as it looks like a pretty twisted launched ride.  I'm not really at all surprised at Six Flags America's former Two Face Vekoma Invertigo finishing with only one vote, though.

This month's poll is now live, it asks a bit of a loopy question.  Check it out and vote over on the left.
