Showing Off Verbolten's Trains
Progress on Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg rages on, and currently the park is happily showing off the amazingly themed trains for their brand new multi-launch roller coaster.

But first - they're also sharing some recent images of the ride's finale, in which riders plunge through this bridge - which has clearly seen better days - and dive toward the river below.

This view allows us to see some of the detail that has gone into the bridge. Obviously it's meant to looks both distressed and aged, but I really like how you can see that they've added details like the window and moss growth.

As for Verbolten's trains, the park is showing them off in detail for the first time. According to the park "real rubber tires, chrome side mirrors, and the classic long hood lines of a two-door roadster distinguishes Verbolten's 16-passenger coaster car from a run-of-the-mill coaster train."

Inspired by classic vintage sports cars, each of the coaster's five trains are painted a different color. They also feature decorative details such as racing stripes, hood scoops, and customized license plates. Lap bars are used instead of any over the should restraints, adding to the enjoyability of the ride.

Also built into the trains are video cameras that will transmit a rider's experience back to the on-ride booth, where guests can purchase a copy of their ride as a souvenir.
Verbolten's story line focuses on a German Tour company run by brother and sister, Gunter and Gerta. Naturally things go a bit awry and guests end up deep in the Black Forest. It will prominently fit into the park's Oktoberfest village area when it opens.
