Six Flags America Announces Zoomazon Falls

Surprise!  Six Flags America celebrated the birthday of yours truly by announcing a new water slide tower for the park's Hurricane Harbor water park!  (Okay, not really for my birthday, but that is today!)

Hurricane Harbor will expand with the new Zoomazon Falls tower, which will feature four separate body slides.  The entire project will be themed to the Amazon region, and will feature slides that are "enhanced by waterfalls, tropical decor, jungle soundtracks, and more," according to Six Flags America.

The four separate twisting body slides will a complete revitalization of the existing Rainbow slides that have not been used since 2007.  The new complex will be a part of 15 different attractions at Hurricane Harbor, including a massive wave pool, Hurricane Bay, and the Tornado funnel slide among many others.

Six Flags America will also debut four new stage shows in 2011, including Survivor Live!, Bob the Builder, Turn Up the Heat - Summertime, and the Blundering Buccaneers Stunt Show.

The park will open for the season on April 16th, 2011.
