Dorney Park Requesting Zoning Changes

Looks like Dorney Park is trying to rearrange the zoning of the amusement park in order to bypass their regular series of ride approvals.

This article gives the details, but this isn't the first time the park has attempted to do this. Previous attempts were shot down by the commissioners. The current attempt would keep a buffer around the park, then there would be a section that has a limit of 30 ft., then a center strip would be for taller rides.

The park cites the fact that they have to reveal their plans so early as a reason for wanting the change.

This is somewhat similar to what Six Flags New England has going on right now as well.
