Kentucky Kingdom: The Next Geauga Lake?

I was reading this interesting discussion on CoasterBuzz about the possibility of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom turning into a water park only property, a la what Cedar Fair did to Geauga Lake.

The above photo is from a gallery of pictures of what's changed for this year, which doesn't make the park look too appealing these days. It's an interesting conspiracy theory, though, as perhaps the property would work better if it gave up on the rides and focused on water attractions.

Did the Superman accident really hurt the park that much? Who knows, but people seem to be very confident that Twisted Twins are done for, and will be coming down sooner than later. I can't wait to see what happens to the park to be honest. Six Flags may need to make some more drastic moves to keep things afloat - they were certainly serious about cutting costs with all the removed rides and closed areas this year at their parks.
