Just in time for the hottest part of summer, Mt. Olympus has opened their $4 million water park expansion, known as The Great Pool of Delphi.  The expansive pool area covers more than 60,000 square feet, with 27,000 square feet dedicated to the actual pool - making it the largest in the Wisconsin Dells according to the park.

The attraction features several islands in the middle of the water, and guests can enter via two separate beach areas.  Other features include a 100 foot tall geyser, kid's splash area, and a towering waterfall.  In total there are half a million gallons of water in The Great Pool of Delphi, and when combined with all the additional lounging space the development can accommodate up to 4,000 guests at a time.

The pool is aimed at being family friendly start to finish, featuring a maximum water depth of just over 4 feet.  Seen above is a photo of the area just before it opened, note that there are lounge chairs on the islands in the middle of the pool - perfect for relaxing!  The addition also saw plenty of cabanas added that can be rented for the day.

The Great Pool of Delphi joins many other water park attractions offered by the Mt. Olympus resort, including major slides like Triton's Fury, the gigantic water Lost City of Atlantis water play structure, and the Poseidon's Rage wave pool.
