Six Flags Over Georgia Expands Into Christmas + Slide Update

This news actually broke a couple weeks ago, so my apologies for being way late to the party on this one!  Anyway, Six Flags Over Georgia announced that they too will be adding Holiday In The Park this winter, celebrating all that the merry season has to offer.

The park will use "one million LED lights, beautiful Christmas trees, and state-of-the-art decorations" during the event, which will run from November 22nd through January 4th.

“It will be an amazing, holiday, must-see spectacle for all families to enjoy. We are thrilled to offer our guests the opportunity to cool off this summer with our all-new water park Hurricane Harbor and then complete the year with a trip to the North Pole,” said Six Flags Atlanta Properties Park President Dale Kaetzel.

The park's Riverview Carousel will be a focal point of the celebration, offering "a glowing light and walkthrough experience never before seen in Atlanta and the Southeast region."  Concept art of that can be seen above.  The park also released some footage shot at other Six Flags Park's Holiday In The Park events, giving a taste of what can be expected.

Meanwhile, Six Flags Over Georgia is hard at work on Hurricane Harbor, the park's new water park.  Proslide just released this image of one of the new water slides, a combination of a bowl slide and wave slide.  The hybrid slide is said to be the only of its kind in the U.S. - I love the colors!
