Miracle Strip Continues Plans to Rebuild the Starliner

Earlier this year we heard of plans for Miracle Strip at Pier Park to move to a much larger location, which will include their current line up of classic rides, but also add more to their offerings.

A big part of the need for more space is for their plan to resurrect the famous Starliner wooden roller coaster, which operated at the original Miracle Strip Amusement Park for decades.

The owners of the new park are selling customized bricks that will line the path to the new coaster, which they are still hoping can open in 2015.  The relocated and expanded park is planned to open in 2014, but more time - and funds - are needed for the coaster.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new park open next season, they've created a very beautiful family amusement park on such a small plot of land - and in the middle of a mall at that - I can't wait to see what they do with ten times as much space.

As for the Starliner, hopefully the new park will be a success and generate additional funds for the project.  The park owns the ride's pieces, and are keeping them in good shape while they wait.  Good luck to them!
