New Preview Image of Shanghai Disneyland

© Disney
It's not much, really, but Disney has released a new photo of the model of Shanghai Disneyland.  Cloaked in the evening darkness, the shot shows us the park's "11-acre green space at the center of the park."

Towering over the area in the background is the Enchanted Storybook Castle, which is much beefier than most of the other park castles.  The green space includes gardens and water features (nighttime show perhaps?) along with a light sprinkling of rides.  It appears from the image that the park's Carousel and a spinner ride will be located in the area.

The image was released as part of CEO Bob Iger's speech at the company's annual meeting.  During the presentation Mr. Iger also referenced Shanghai Disneyland's opening date as "the end of 2015."  Previously that date was unknown, with many thinking 2016 was reasonable - it is nice to have an official confirmation.
