Construction in High Gear for Knott's New Boardwalk

The addition of three new rides in the Boardwalk section of Knott's Berry Farm has been underway for some time now, but the work has really kicked into high gear in the past week.

The top photo, from Knott's Network who has wonderful park updates, shows the status of the new rides as of a few days ago.  Coast Rider has finally started to go vertical - you can seen lots of small supports in place along with a couple large ones and even some track!  I imagine in the few days since this was taken that a lot more of the ride could be up.

In the background we can see the foundations for the Pacific Scrambler (furthest back) and the Surfside Gliders going in as well.

The park really means business in the construction of Coast Rider - in this photo released by the park you can see they worked into the dark lifting supports into place!

The new area has an announced opening date of May 25th, so Knott's has just over two months to wrap up all the work.
