'Tis The Season For Brickmas!

Since this is the first Christmas season that Legoland Florida will be open, it's destined to be a special one.  That said, the new theme park will be celebrating Christmas Bricktacular this year, filled with holiday activities and special events.

Starting on December 8th, special decorations and the sounds of the season will fill the Beginning and Fun Town sections of the theme park.  The park is also planning a special kids' New Years Eve on the 31st.

Guests to the park will find a 30 foot tall Lego Christmas tree made of 270,000 individual bricks.  A special tree lighting ceremony will be held on December 5th, and each night the park is open a special family will be chosen to help light the Bricktacular tree.

A Christmas event must include a visit with the man himself, Santa Claus.  He will be available in the park's famous botanical gardens for photos - plus kids can let him know what they want this year!

The Kids' New Years Eve celebration will see the sky explode with Lego fireworks at midnight KST "kid standard time" - which is a respectful-of-bedtimes 7 p.m.
