Quassy Deems Wooden Warrior a "Smash Hit"

The Summer of 2011 will go down as one of the best ever for New England's Quassy Amusement Park, despite being a year filled with some rather complicated weather.

That fact, according to the park, is in large part to the opening of their new Gravity Group designed Wooden Warrior roller coaster.  The new ride was years in the making, but well worth the wait.  Park fans and enthusiasts have raved about the medium sized coaster since it's debut earlier in the year.

The coaster is the second part of a multi-year expansion that Quassy has planned.  Last year the Free Fall 'N' family drop tower ride opened, and then the Wooden Warrior this year.  The park is now planning a water park expansion, currently on deck for a 2013 debut.

I can't say enough how great it is to hear not only that a family owned, independent park had a great season, but also that the amusement park classic - a wooden roller coaster - played a role in that!

I grew up an hour from Cedar Point. I still love that place, but ever since my first visit to Holiday World, family-owned, independent parks have stolen my heart!

Congrats Quassy!
