Conneaut Lake Park Matters

The National Trust for Historic Preservation strives to "save the places that tell the stories that make us who we are." And who's life hasn't in some way been made more special by a trip to an amusement park?

Conneaut Lake Park, celebrating its 119th year of operation, has been chosen by this organization to compete for one of 3 significant grants under the "This Place Matters" grant challenge. As amusement park fans, we can help show how much this place does indeed matter by voting here, all the way through June 30th.

Rides manager Gregory Swank has commented that the park is investing about a quarter of a million dollars in improvements just this season, including the addition of a new slide and "Spider" type attraction. In addition, the Blue Streak roller coaster is slated to operate for the full season, for the first time since 2006. Read the full story here.
