Schlitterbahn New Braunfels 2011: The Falls

The world's longest water park ride will debut this Summer at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels when the park opens The Falls.  The new attraction is part of the largest development the park has seen in nearly 15 years, and includes multiple attractions, accommodations, and more.

The development area will actually be a new section of Schlitterbahn East, named Tubenbach.  The section joins the existing Blastenhoff and Surfenburg areas.

The Falls will be the largest attraction in the area, and the longest water park attraction in the world at 3,600 feet - considerably longer than many roller coasters.  The Falls will employ an AquaVeyer  system where riders will be lifted to the top of the river without getting out of their tubes, providing an endless float.

I think the blue area will be Tubenbach... massive!

The continuous river will interact with other new attractions, and float riders past the park's new Treehaus lodging units.  It's also a no-wait ride, with multiple points of entry - it'll take an estimated 30 minutes to complete a full trip!

The Deluge Whirlpool River, a "swift moving canyon wild with waves," will encircle two beach areas and the Boogie Bay Kids' area.  It will also connect to the Falls without the need for guests to get out of their tubes.

Boogie Bay Hot Tub, a relaxing oasis under a legacy oak tree, will also serve as a great area for adults to relax.  A Grand Lawn event area and the Wasserstrasse river walk complete this massive project.

Be sure to check out the video the park has created of the attractions on Schlitterbahn New Braunfel's webpage.
