Magic Waters and Zoombezi Bay Updates

Magic Waters in Cherry Valley, Illinois, is planning a pair of speed slides for 2012, with a rendering shown above. At this point, a manufacturer has not been determined for the new attraction.

In addition, the park's three oldest body slides, dating back more than 25 years, will be refurbished for the season. For 2011, the park will be rehabbing some of its current attractions: a pair of tube slides and a childens' water play area. Read the full story here.

Debuting this summer at Zoombezi Bay Waterpark in Columbus, OH - two new high-profile attractions: Anaconda Falls and Python Plunge.

According to the park's website, Anaconda Falls is only one of six in the United States. It starts off with an enclosed twisting portion, and drops off into what appears to be similar to a WhiteWater Boomerango attraction, pictured below.

Python Plunge will accelerate riders uphill on jetted water, finishing with a shot into a 70-foot long landing pool.
