NewsPlusNotes December 2014 Poll Results

Our final poll of 2014 asked our readers which of the three U.S. SeaWorld Parks roller coaster's was your favorite.  I had a feeling that Manta, at SeaWorld Orlando, would do well in this poll, but I didn't expect it to be such a run away!  The B&M flying ride, with its famous faux splash at the end, totaled 43% of the overall vote.

In second place (22%) was another SeaWorld Orlando ride, Kraken.  Another ride created by B&M, this one is a floorless coaster with 7 inversions and a dive well below ground level into the Kraken's lair.  The mini-hyper coaster, Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio, came in third place with 16% of the votes.  Here are the full results:

As you can see the first through third place finishers totaled over 80% of all the votes, so those three rides were far and away the most popular.  The trio of Journey to Atlantic water coasters didn't fair so well, overall.

This month's poll is now live, which is always a fun one for January of each year.  This is when we ask our readers which of the new for 2015 U.S. roller coasters are you anticipating the most?  Vote over on the left!
