Carowinds Roars Into 2013

Carowinds has announced that like many other Cedar Fair parks, they will offer Dinosaurs Alive! to park guests in the 2013 season.

The attraction, which was recently announced for Valleyfair!, will take up home at Carowinds in five acres of wooded land.  Guests will be able to visit 32 different animatronic dinosaurs, each showing off how the creatures originally lived and interacted with one another.

The path at Carowinds will stretch over 3,000 feet and feature thirteen separate scenes.  Like similar Dinosaurs Alive! attractions, the largest dinosaur will be the Ruyangosaurus, standing an impressive 40 feet tall and stretching over 60 feet long.

By my calculations, the addition of Dinosaurs Alive! at Carowinds leaves only four Cedar Fair parks without the attraction: Michigan's Adventure, Worlds of Fun, and the two West Coast parks, Knott's Berry Farm and California's Great America.
