Legoland California Opens New Water Park

Legoland California has opened their new for 2010 $12 million, 5.5 acre water park for anxious guests to experience. The expansion is actually part of the existing theme park, but requires an extra admission fee to enter and is geared toward smaller children. There are plenty of water play structures, slides, and other activities to keep the younger set busy, and naturally the entire park has a playful Lego theme to it.

The Funland Blog was able to visit the new water area this past weekend, and has published a detailed review. Sounds like the experience wasn't totally finished when it opened, but I'm sure those issues will be worked out quickly as they were more minor 'finishing touches.'

Legoland has already said that is proven popular similar water parks could be added to the other parks around the world, especially the Legoland Florida park currently under construction.
