Fun Spot Atlanta Shares New RMC Coaster Details + Announcement Soon!

Fun Spot Atlanta is leading up to the full reveal of their 2022 Rocky Mountain Construction Ibox track coaster by revealing more details in a video posted today.  The main theme of the video is the reveal of the ride's color scheme, but there are even more details on the ride buried in the clip as well.

Hosted by John Jr., one of the leaders in the family owned Fun Spot chain, the video starts off with an update on the park's attempt to theme the new coaster to one of Atlanta's professional sports teams - an item that was mentioned in a press release a few weeks back.  Unfortunately that plan did not work out so the ride will now feature an all-American theme instead.  John Jr. does note that perhaps in the future a second coaster will come to the Atlanta park and maybe that one will be themed to an Atlanta area sport franchise.

As the balloons that can be seen in these clips are popped the ride's colors are revealed through bursts of glitter - showing that red, white and blue will be the overall color scheme.  John Jr. goes on to explain that the ride will utilize a white structure with the coaster's running rails each being a different color.  So, white supports with one red running rail and one blue running rail.

The patriotic theme makes sense for Fun Spot America indeed.  Other updates from the video include:

• Fun Spot Atlanta has broken ground on the ride, and RMC is continuing their work on the ride's steel track.

• The full release of information on the coaster, including renderings, statistics and track layout, will happen in the next week or two.

• This will not be a kiddie coaster, it will be an exciting "world class coaster" that I expect to draw RMC fans from around the country.

With the announcement coming so soon our next update on the ride should be the full details - exciting!
