Yukon Striker Previews This Friday + New POV Released

© Canada's Wonderland
It's nearly time for the world debut of Yukon Striker at Canada's Wonderland!  The massive B&M dive coaster had its media day this week, and visitors who have a season pass can get their first rides in this Friday, April 26th.  After that the general public will get their first dive on Yukon Striker on May 3rd when the park officially opens for the 2019 season.

The centerpiece of a new Frontier Canada themed section, Yukon Striker takes riders down a vertical 245 foot plunge into an under water tunnel.  The ride's layout includes several inversions, including the first ever vertical loop on a dive coaster.  With a top speed of 80 miles per hour and a track length of 3,625 feet, it is both the world's fastest and longest dive coaster.

The breed of B&M dive coasters are known for their exhilarating drops, and Yukon Striker's first drop is also one for the record books.  Early reviews of the coaster are praising not only that drop, but the ride's unique elements and longer than average ride time.

If you can't make it to Canada's Wonderland to take a spin on Yukon Striker, the park has released a new point of view video of the attraction.  Hopefully that will help pass the time until everyone can go get their first dive in on the coaster!
