Take a Spin on Lagoon's New Cannibal Roller Coaster

© Lagoon
Lagoon has officially opened Cannibal to park guests, and early reviews for the custom-designed roller coaster are coming in and praising the ride's unique elements and high speeds.  The coaster opened a little later than the park had opened, but if there ever were a case of better-late-than-never this is it.

Cannibal starts with an elevator lift to 208 feet above the Utah ground below, then an extreme 116 degree beyond vertical first plunge.  The layout includes several inversions including a roll sequence that I haven't seen before and a top speed of 70 miles per hour.

The ride's layout is impressive enough, but Lagoon went ahead and added some beautiful theming to the ride's grounds.  Above is a shot of the enormous waterfall structure that sits in the middle of the ride's finale, a tight downward helix.

Below is a point of view video of the experience, taken with the park's permission.  Looks like quite a ride!  Congratulations to Lagoon on Cannibal's opening.
