What's New At Lagoon in '09

What's new at Lagoon Amusement Park, located in Utah, this summer? Well, the Jumping Dragon, of course.

The park recently opened for the season and debuted their new flat ride, made by Zierer, for park guests. The Jumping Dragon "consists of a large, ornately decorated serpent-like figure with 18 carriers imbedded in its undulating body, culminating dramatically in a whipping upward 15 foot tail. As the dragon circles round and round chasing its tail, it leaps up to two meters and travels through a Chinese pagoda that is over 40 feet tall." Think milder Musik Express for this one.

Sounds pretty neat, huh. Want to see photos? There's a great trip report over on Lagoonisfun.com that shows off all the changes at the park this year, and also features plenty of photos of the Jumping Dragon.

The park did an amazing job with theming the ride!
