The highly popular dark ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis 4D, will be thrilling guests at three Six Flags parks in 2017, it has been announced.  The rides are being created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, and like the versions before will be produced by Sally Corporation.

The interactive thrill rides were recently named one of the Top Ten Amusement Park Attractions of the year by USA Today, and will open at Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Over Georgia (part of the park's 50th anniversary celebration), and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Riders on Justice League: Battle for Metropolis will board six passenger motion based vehicles that twist and turn freely throughout the ride.  Riders have blasters that allow them to score points throughout the attraction on more than 600 targets, giving an interactive experience that encourages repeat rides.  The experience blends physical sets, animatronics, 3-D animation sequences and special effects like fire, wind, water and fog.

The ride will be built in a 22,000 square foot building near Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Over Georgia, on the site of the former Chiller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure, and in a renovated and newly rethemed Metropolis area at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The ride features a host of popular DC Comics characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Supergirl and Cyborg against Super Villains Lex Luthor and The Joker.

While the rides at Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia will be essentially the same as the previous versions, the Six Flags Magic Mountain ride will feature new elements.  These include two new pre-show rooms, an extra scene in the ride, more special effects and a new Harley Quinn animatronic.
