NewsPlusNotes February 2016 Poll Results

This was a silly poll, but still fun - last month we asked you guys which of a group of Cedar Fair's wooden roller coasters would you like to see get the Rocky Mountain steel conversion treatment.  Because I knew that Cedar Point's Mean Streak would win, hands down, I purposely did not include it for voting.

After all was said and done our readers selected Hurler at Carowinds as the ride you'd most like to see get converted.  I'll leave it up to you guys to determine if that means that the ride is no good, or if it just holds an immense amount of potential if converted.  Above is Hurler's layout as seen from the sky, the 83 foot tall ride first opened in 1994 and has a twin at Kings Dominion.

The chain's pair of Grizzly coasters came in second and third place, Kings Dominion's in 2nd and California's Great America's in 3rd.  I can see how each of those rides could be an interesting conversion, especially the wooded layout of the Virginia ride.  Here are the full results of the poll:

It looks quite a bit like our readers do not want to see Renegade at Valleyfair touched!  I can certainly understand that sentiment.

This month's poll is now live.  We're doing a 20 year throwback and asking our readers which of that season's new U.S. coaster is their favorite.  Vote over on the left!
