Cliff's Magical Christmas - A New Holiday Event Opens

A new reason to celebrate the season!  Cliff's Amusement Park has started a new Christmas event, the first in the park's history.  Named Cliff's Magical Christmas, the event helps visitors feel the spirit of the holiday though tons of decorations and holiday lights.

In total almost a half a million lights were used on the property, creating quite a spectacle as seen in the shot above.  The park created a 120 foot tall Christmas tree out of lights by using the park's freefall tower as a base - and the lights are choreographed to dance along with holiday music.

A big draw for the event is, of course, Santa!  Visitors can meet with Jolly Old Saint Nick himself during the celebration and get their picture taken - but only until December 23rd - rumor has it that he's pretty busy after that date!

In addition to the holiday lights the park has some rides open, a mix of those just for kids but also a handful for the entire family as well. Some of the bigger ones include the park's Train ride, Fireball, SideWinder, Musik Express, Sea Dragon and Carousel.  Due to temperatures no roller coasters will be open during Cliff's Magical Christmas.

And what would Christmas be without some great food?  This event has that covered, too, with plenty of hot cocoa, funnel cakes, baked goods and more.  Guests can also take part in festive face-painting or perhaps event a glitter tattoo.

For more information on the event, check out Cliff's website - the event runs through December 29th and admission is only $10 for adults.  The park has already said that if this year is a success they plan on expanding for 2014.
