Legoland Florida Announces New DUPLO Valley Kids Area for 2014

Not one to rest on their laurels, Legoland Florida has announced another set of additions to the Florida theme park.  This summer saw the opening of a brand new themed section, based on the World of Chima - a first for any Legoland theme park.  Now the park has turned attentions to the toddler set with the announcement of the new DUPLO Valley.

The renovated toddler section of the park will feature new attractions when it reopens as DUPLO Valley in Spring 2014.  Among the fun will be "new farm-themed attractions, an air-conditioned indoor play area, and a water play area all geared to toddlers ages 2 to 5."

One addition will be a large set of enhancements to the DUPLO Barn, which will be enclosed so kids can play in the comfort of air-conditioning.  "Existing attractions will be enhanced with additional DUPLO farm-themed play areas and a toddler room where parents can relax while kids build with DUPLO bricks. The barn’s Baby Care Center will continue to provide all the amenities to take care of young children. It offers private nursing stations, rocking chairs, microwaves, bottle warmers, high chairs, changing stations, Wi-Fi, cell phone charging stations and more."

A brand new train ride will be added to the DUPLO Valley, along with a mini-tractor ride and the new water play area.  The train will feature countryside-themed scenery including farms, fishing holes and campgrounds.  The mini-tractor ride sounds neat as well, described as allowing "toddlers to jump on a tractor just their size and help the farmers plow the cornfields and hunt for missing farm animals."  The water play area will have interactive elements set among larger than life sized farm animals, atop a kid friendly soft deck.

With the addition of DUPLO Valley Legoland Florida will feature more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions all aimed at an audience of kids 2 to 12.
